Chercheur associé au Laboratoire d’astrophysique de Marseille et AO scientist pour le GEMINI north telescope \n  \nDescription: \nComme vous le savez\, notre atmosphère — aussi indispensable soit-elle à la vie — brouille la lumière provenant des étoiles et des galaxies. \nCes perturbations\, causées par les turbulences de l’air\, limitent drastiquement la résolution des télescopes au sol. C’est là qu’intervient l’optique adaptative : un système capable de compenser en temps réel ces distorsions\, pour redonner à nos instruments leur pleine puissance. \nDurant cette conférence\, nous verrons comment ces systèmes fonctionnent concrètement — entre étoiles guides\, miroirs déformables et algorithmes de contrôle — et comment ils vont permettre à des télescopes comme le Gemini North telescope/VLT/ELT de voir les premières galaxies de l’Univers\, de cartographier des exoplanètes et d’étudier les trous noirs avec une précision sans précédent. \nGEMINI NORTH avec son étoile laser.\, Hawaï. © International Gemini Observatory/NOIRLab/NSF/AURA \n
